Storefronts and building exteriors prepped and coated to handle snow, salt and Michigan summers.
13+ years of hands-on painting experience

The outside of a commercial building is part of how customers judge the business before they walk in. A faded storefront, peeling trim or a stained facade says something, and a clean exterior says the opposite. It is also the surface that takes the most abuse from Michigan weather.
Commercial exteriors have different problems than houses. Entry doors, railings and the base of the walls get road salt and snow melt thrown at them all winter. Large flat walls show every lap mark. Metal needs rust treatment and a primer that bonds to it. The prep list is different, and so is the access.
Retail and office exteriors are also tied to the calendar. Early-season work gets the building looking right for the busy months, and late-season work gets coatings in place before the freeze. We plan the timing with you.
We look at every elevation, the surface types, the access needs and the condition of the existing coating, and note entrances that must stay open.
Surfaces are washed and loose coating is scraped back. Rust on metal is treated and failed sealant is replaced.
Bare masonry, metal and wood get a primer suited to the surface so the finish coat bonds.
Finish coats go on within the temperature and dryness limits of the product, in sections that keep customer access open.
We walk the exterior with the owner or manager, touch up and clean the site.
Exterior pricing depends on the building, and these are the factors we weigh:
Exterior work is where experience shows. Alvaro has spent 13 years on painting jobs and knows how to prep for weather, and which spots on a commercial building fail first.
Because the crew can scale with the building, a larger facade does not have to drag on for weeks. We will tell you how we would staff it when we quote.
We paint commercial exteriors in Grand Rapids and the surrounding cities. See our Grand Rapids painting page and Grandville painting page.
Salt spray, snow melt and constant moisture break down coatings near the base of walls, entry doors and railings first. Prepping those areas properly and choosing the right product is what keeps the finish from failing early.
Yes. Metal surfaces need cleaning, rust treatment where needed and a primer made for metal before the finish coat, and each surface is listed separately in the quote.
It depends on the height and the layout. Single-story storefronts can often be done from the ground and ladders, while taller buildings need access equipment. We note it during the walk-through.
Usually, by working in sections and keeping entrances clear where possible. Tell us your busiest hours and entrances so we can plan around them.
Late spring through early fall is the dependable window, when surfaces are dry and the temperature is within the paint's range. We schedule early in the season for time-sensitive jobs.
